Home Care Recommendations:
Wash sheets, blankets, and pillowcases in hot water and dry them on high heat.
Place pillows in the dryer on high heat to eliminate any lice or nits.
Store stuffed animals and decorative cushions in sealed plastic bags for 10 days.
Dispose of or store hair ties, bows, headbands, and other fabric hair accessories in plastic bags.
Avoid sharing hats; if used, ensure they are disinfected in the dryer before each use.
Vacuum mattresses, sofas, and fabric chairs, as lice can survive outside the scalp for up to three days.
Disinfect combs and brushes by soaking them in boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes or replacing them.
After the first treatment, use only combs until the process is complete.
For girls with long hair, keeping it tied in braids or buns is recommended, along with applying a lice repellent twice a day (before school and after returning home).
